Meal Planning Template

I’ve been using a form of this meal planning template for YEARS. I always feel so much more prepared for a busy week (they are all busy!) when I take the time to use this template to plan out meals, any prep I can do ahead of time, and a comprehensive grocery list.

Here’s a step-by-step of how I use this:

  1. ON HAND: Take a look at what you have that needs to be used up. Make a list and reference this list as you plan out meals.

  2. PLANS: Write out any plans or events that you have throughout the week. This helps me think about the rhythm of my days, what days will require a faster or pre-made meal, and be mentally prepared for the week.

  3. MEALS: Plan out meals for the week. Cross out the items used in the “ON HAND” box as you go.

  4. GROCERIES: Create a grocery list based on the meals you have planned, using the different boxes to help you stay organized while shopping.
